About
Daniel Fríes is a Spanish guitarist known for refined performances grounded in Spanish flamenco and classical Spanish guitar, with subtle influences from Indian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and African musical forms. His work emphasizes musical atmosphere, ensemble balance, and a deep sensitivity to setting.
Based in California, Daniel performs as a soloist and leads curated ensembles for cultural programs, corporate events, wineries, and private gatherings, tailoring each presentation to its environment—from understated ambient performances to focused listening experiences. He is also engaged for select weddings and personal celebrations when Spanish guitar is right for the occasion.
Ensembles are assembled based on availability, event requirements, and musical fit. Core collaborators appear regularly across formats; additional musicians may be brought in selectively for specific events or dates.
